Project Life
the first page was quite easy as it was just an introduction
My first week was a quiet one and this is reflected in my photos
There is a lot to learn but I'm pleased I've got to grips with making the date embellishments. I am trying to keep it simple so I will not find it too hard to keep up.

what to do when the snooker’s on!
Snooker seems to have taken over the television for a while giving me time to do a little digi scrapping. Using a class from Jessica Sprague I made a diamond background and scrapped about my mother-in –law’s stool.

digi
a little bit of digi scrapping as I get back to doing some craft. The kit is from a class by Jessica Sprague and the photo of my little granddaughter.

quick page
I really enjoyed making this digi page, we had to drop a photo into the space provided, upload and stamp a brush and write the journalling. Although I have done all this before it is always great to be reminded of the many cool things you can do in PSE.

playing with photos!
Jessica Sprague is celebrating her 5th birthday with a free class and I’ve been having a play with a photo.
This is the original
This is it with soft light and screen added
and now with just a hint of sepia
Some fun techniques to use, if you have photoshop then do go over to her shop and give it a try.

lovely
another class from Jessica Sprague, this time showing how to load a stitch brush and use it in different ways on your layout – I’d forgotten how much fun this is especially with some baby photos to scrap!

10things
Having decided to do more digi scrapping again this year I thought I would look back over some of my favourite layouts to encourage me!
All these layouts were either from a Jessica Sprague class, Hummie’s World or a template. I’m so sorry I can’t name the kits as getting all my digi supplies sorted and tagged is another task for this year.
This post is part 10 things on the tenth, you can read more on Shimelle’s blog here

digi scrapping
credits: this was a Photoshop Friday class by Jessica Sprague
Although I’m loving doing paper scrapping I don’t want to forget the digi so I’m revisiting some Jessica Sprague classes again. In this class you had to make the title, outlining it in white and then filling in the loops with colours from the kit. I love the effect of this and hope my brain will store the technique for future use!

memories
credits: frame by Simply Sarah Designs
We’ve been busy sorting out and throwing away old toys, games, videos etc. I’m getting rid of all my Buffy and Poldark and trying to get Ian to part with some of his old series. Some things have too many happy memories however and top of the list are these old Star Wars figures, I don’t think my boys would ever forgive me if they went to the dump!
I have had time for a little play as I couldn’t resist this cluster Dawn Inskip gave away free on UKS.

anniversary
It’s our anniversary today, 38yrs of wedded bliss! There we are aged 17yrs and 23yrs, just at the start of life together. Being us we’ve not really done much today, just relaxed after a minor disaster with DS3’s car. We can’t even go out for a meal as my diet wont let me!
I did make this digi layout from a class by Jessica Sprague.
and I’ve found time to take my photo of the day.

cyber crop
I haven’t been on UKS for a while but I saw they had a Christmas themed CC on this weekend and had to give this digi class by Karen a go. It’s all done using free kits from 2peas and was very easy to follow. Give it a go if you have the time.

lazy Sunday
I often like to visit scrapdolly's blog for inspiration and on a recent visit saw a lovely card she had made. I went straight to this blog to find the digi kit and was soon making my card.
The lighting is bad at the moment, we’ve had some snow, but I wanted to put it on my blog and keep in the Christmas mood.

digi
While busy downloading some kits from Dawn Inskip I made this layout using a free quick page. The photo was taken this week in Salisbury without their knowledge so I hope they don't look on here!
It's been a busy weekend with the children round yesterday and then an unexpected 5 more for lunch today. Worried about not having enough I went to the other extreme and we all ate far too much, back on the diet tomorrow!

I will definitely be playing around with this and making more.

Conker layout
I'm loving doing Hummie's class and also using the Dawn Inskip kits I bought on Sunday. For this layout I had to use the rectangle marquee tool to cut out the photo frames and the magnetic lasso tool to cut the conker out of the photo. It feels good to finally be finding out what all these tools do!

new kits
I bought a couple of new digi kits and this template from Dawn Inskip yesterday as she had a sale on. You also got a free template if you spent over £5 but being in a hurry I didn't read the instructions so didn't get the template. Having sent her a message before going out it was so nice to have a reply sorting it all out for me when I returned :)

More digi
Building on the skills I learnt yesterday I made this layout using a kit by divine digital.
Another lovely day here and another long walk by the sea.

cutting!
Today in my Hummie's class I learnt how to use PSE7 to cut borders, tags, shapes and titles from paper. This is so easy to do and so useful on layouts, I can't wait to play some more!

Hummies World
I've recently been introduced to a new digi forum which can be found here http://www.hummiesworld.com/. There are lots of tutorials on there plus you can subscribe monthly for more lessons. I've decided to start at the beginning and go through all the classes so this is my first layout using photos from yesterday.
It's been another lovely day here and we have been outside gardening again and also walked down to our local beach in the afternoon.
