Why do I blog?

I sometimes wonder why I blog. Is it to record everyday events like what I cooked for breakfast?

Is it to show what a lovely place I live in and the walks I take?

These photos were taken today, a typical Saturday for me. I always have to make Andrew his bacon and egg rolls. Weather being nice or sometimes when it isn't, we always go for a walk by the sea. Today we popped into Jenny and Ed's to see Jamie's new hamster and to leave his birthday present for tomorrow. We then had to rush home to watch spurs and arsenal on tv.
Most of the time I blog the craft I do as that is an important part of my life, I love it.
What this post is geting round to is I've signed up for a new class by shimelle, you can find it here
http//www.shimelle.com/ Hopefully my blog will be more interesting over the next few weeks!

templates

Suddenly felt the urge to do something. Didn't want to think too much as still not feeling that well so used a template from pencil lines and some free papers. Hopefully tomorrow will be able to do more.

Must find time!!!

It seems ages since I last blogged but I just haven't had the time lately.
We are all still cross at what happened to Jamie at school. He was busy playing football when a boy escaped from his supervisor, ran up to him and deliberately kicked his leg, apparently he was taking out his frustrations! No doubt there will be some fancy name for his behaviour, there is always an excuse and somehow all the help and attention goes to the perpetrator rather than the victim, that seems to be the norm these days.

Rant over, I'm just thankful I have lovely well-behaved grandchildren!

We had a nice few days with mum, getting started on her christmas shopping and managing a walk by the sea. I do wish she lived nearer.

I've not done any craft but hope to get back to it soon, also hoping my sarah's cards kit will come soon and hasn't got lost in the post.

birthday cake!

I did this layout for a challenge set by http://www.3jollyscrappers.com/ over on UKS, Jo who runs the shop is in our team so I wanted to support her. The photos are of Jamie and Alex icing a birthday cake for their mummy and I used the latest Sarah's Cards kit.

We all decided to have a day out in Canterbury yesterday with Peter as Ian had an interview to go to. We were enjoying going round the shops until Jenny had a phonecall from the school saying Jamie had injured himself at break, apparently another boy had kicked him in the shin playing football. Normally Jenny would have been round the school in 5mins but it took us a lot longer to get back. We then spent hours at the hospital with him until he was finally seen and told he had broken his leg, it must have been quite a kick! Jamie now has his leg in plaster from toe to top of thigh and is lording it at home having mummy and daddy running around for him, they will need hospital rest after 8wks of that!

Another class finished!

This is the last page for my type+writer class and I found it the most difficult. We had to tell the story of the photos in the form of a fairy tale!

I've really enjoyed doing this class and feel I have learnt so much. I now need to do it all again!

more scrapping

I have been busy with more scrapping. This was from a class by Wendy over on the Papermaze blog. The papers were lovely and I had great fun doing it.

I've also managed another DLO from Jessica Spragues class, the photos were taken on our holiday and some have been scrapped before but I like them!

The rain has stopped today and it has been lovely and sunny. We've been for a walk by the sea and now Ian is mowing the lawn. A big pile of ironing now awaits me!

I'm trying to finish off all my other classes before starting the next one, one of my many faults is I'm always starting new things too soon!
These are pages from the beautiful evidence class, fun photos of david and Zen's wedding.

Little girl

I've spent a couple of hours this morning doing this page from Jessica Spragues class. We had to write for 15mins about our childhood which I found quite hard. We then had to write a letter to ourselves as a child which was then put on this layout. I don't have many photos of me as a child so had to put photos of three different ages which made the dating difficult so I've put 60 as I think that's about the right year for the early photo.
There is so much to learn in these classes but I am loving it, have just bought the next one!
