more scrapping

I have been busy with more scrapping. This was from a class by Wendy over on the Papermaze blog. The papers were lovely and I had great fun doing it.

I've also managed another DLO from Jessica Spragues class, the photos were taken on our holiday and some have been scrapped before but I like them!

The rain has stopped today and it has been lovely and sunny. We've been for a walk by the sea and now Ian is mowing the lawn. A big pile of ironing now awaits me!

I'm trying to finish off all my other classes before starting the next one, one of my many faults is I'm always starting new things too soon!
These are pages from the beautiful evidence class, fun photos of david and Zen's wedding.

beautiful evidence

Here are some more pages for the Beautiful Evidence class I've been taking, it finishes today and I am only halfway through it! I think the trouble is I have to use photos of me and I hate that!

It's very hard getting photos of everyone but I managed to find some.

Colour

I have always considered green as my favourite colour but looking around I see I am greatly influenced by brown in fact I have had to stop myself from making every room brown!! I think this is because I love natural calm colours and also the country style, modern is not for me!!

Have had a busy morning starting with a walk by the sea and a stop at the local butchers, I still refuse to buy my meat from Tescos. I then spent the rest of the morning cooking for my hungry men. Ian is now going to make a curry so I have time to do a bit of scrapping and read my book.

Creating!!

My next page for Jessica Spragues class was about my creative side. I've always wanted to be artistic and make lots of things but don't have much talent for it. I used to do a lot of knitting and some crochet but have never been that satisfied with the results. I do remember making Andrew a Thomas the Tank engine cardigan and being quite proud of myself but have spoilt that by making Jenny a very sad looking knitted bear which she has probably hidden away now!
My sisters were very good at making clothes etc but I have always been frightened of a sewing machine and would rather go naked!
I then discovered cross stitch and found something that when finished actually looked quite clever, so do enjoy that!
I've also always wanted to be a fantastic cook and although never getting further than mediocre I enjoy making meals for the family and baking cakes etc as long as it doesn't involve intricate designs with a piping bag.
In recent years I've taken to scrapbooking and find if I scraplift someones design slavishly I'm quite pleased with the result. Oh to be able to make a page from scratch and be pleased with the result, I'll be a truly happy person if I ever achieve that!

Senses

The next page for the Beautiful evidence class was about our senses. We had to find 5 photos of things we love. I love the smell of bread baking, to look at beautiful flowers in the garden, the taste of a good salad, the sound of the waves and the feel of the sand between my toes.

New Class

Today I started my new class called Beautiful Evidence by Jessica Sprague. It did start yesterday but the first page assumed you had done all the homework and collected all the photos for the course as you had to put a selection of them on the front page. I was hoping to take photos as I go so will do that page at the end.
I gritted my teeth and let Jenny take a photo of me and have done my first page . We had to think of 5 words that described us and I could come up with bossy, touchy, argumentitive, greedy and lazy quite easily but thought that would not make a very likable page to share with everyone! I asked Ian what he thought and not wanting to get a black eye he came up with thoughtful and kind, I can almost hear big sis laughing in amazement! I thought some more and realised that at this present moment I am content and happy with my life, I try to think of others most of the time, and I'm always hopeful I will improve in every way, that with my tidiness makes up my 5 words, no doubt others could think of different ones and will share them with me at some point!!
We also had to scan in our signature and add underneath the photo but for obvious reasons I have blanked that out for my blog.

Hopeful is the key word at the moment as I try yet again to lose weight. Sue and I are going to encourage each other to keep at it and being sisters we won't want the other one to do better so
hopefully by Christmas we will both be a lot lighter!!
I should have added indescisive to my list as I've just changed the papers as I thought it looked too pale!!!
