what to do when the snooker’s on!

Snooker seems to have taken over the television for a while giving me time to do a little digi scrapping. Using a class from Jessica Sprague I made a diamond background and scrapped about my mother-in –law’s stool.

It’s wonderful to finally feel like Spring is here and we can start taking walks without shivering with the cold. This morning we happened to notice this rowing boat out at sea, how I wish I had a better camera when I see something like this.

a little bit of help

I’ve not felt much like scrapping recently so when I saw Glitter Girl’s latest class I thought I would give it a go.

First I chose three background papers and some letters and embellishments. I had to cheat a bit with the letters as I don’t have that many full packs so I grabbed all my black ones and hoped I could make a title.

I then made three layouts with some of these supplies

hopefully I’ve now got my mojo back!

Storytelling Sunday–Grandma’s stool

 

It’s the first Sunday of the month again and time to join in Sian's Storytelling Sunday where we are asked to share something precious to us.

If I had to save any piece of furniture in my house it would be this little stool as it means so much to my husband. Before his mum died she asked him to take this little stool and look after it as it was part of her childhood. It was the stool she sat on as a child at home in Scotland.

Here she is aged 6, not with her stool but a cute photo.

and slightly older with her mum and Grandma.

The only problem we have now is which of our four children will inherit their Grandma’s stool.

my month in photos

It felt like I had done nothing in March except feel ill and then I look back on the photos I’ve taken and see a lot went on. I had a visit from my eldest son and family, was spoilt on Mother’s Day, won a lovely prize and enjoyed Easter with most of the family.

It really wasn’t all bad, just got to convince Ian now!
