Memorandum Monday

I've always loved nature and enjoy taking long walks so a new event for me this week was to go on a guided evening walk with the RSPB. We didn't see that many birds, a few swallows, swifts and linnets but we could hear them. I now know the difference between a song thrush and mistle thrush, the latter's song is longer than the common song thrush, and the first and last songs of the day apparently always come from the robin.

memorandum Monday

It's been lovely and warm these last few days and I have been taking advantage of that, sitting out in the garden and taking long walks in the sunshine. I've also been inside enjoying something new, Shimelle's latest class scrapbook process.

Memorandum Monday

Some weeks go by and I wonder just what I've done with my time. I plod on doing the usual things and life seems very dull. This weekend we had family here which always cheers me up, for a start it gives me a reason to do some baking. The weather was meant to be horrible, wet and windy so it was a nice surprise to wake up to some sunshine. "Let's all meet up for a coffee or ice cream" my youngest suggested. Seemed like a good idea until we saw the queues everywhere. So what have I learnt this week? Walk a bit out of your way and you could come to an empty ice cream parlour and who needs to sit down when you can leave the crowds behind and walk along by the sea.

I'm so glad the crowds just round the corner from here have no idea this bay exists!

waving to Sian and all my blog friends, I hope you all have a good week x
