nearly that time again!

Realised today it was nearly 25th of the month so thought I had better do last months pages for scrap your day. it was a bit of a boring day in January as the weather wasn't very nice and I was not feeling well so not too many photos to scrap.

Ian has just gone to buy me some more shelving for the greenhouse as I have lots of plans for growing my own veg and need some more space. I'm going to have to reorganise the greenhouse and give it a good clean..tomorrow!!

Peter is home for the weekend which is nice so I will have to make him his favourites, got to spoil my little boy!

Pancakes tonight, Ian has already put his orders in!

Princess?

The challenge this week was to cut a photo, boy did I find it hard!! Having done the cutting I then had to decide how to place the photos on the layout. I loved these photos of Becca, so that helped, I think they show off the real Becca!
my latest sarah's cards kit arrived on Friday so I am feeling pleased with myself for using it so soon.
It's been a busy week with lots of visits from the children to keep me entertained. Played bowls on Thursday but had a very bad game only got one point, Ian on the otherhand was in fine form.
Yesterday, as the weather was nice, I decided to start on the garden ready for the spring. I weeded out there for over 2hrs so it must have done me good. I'm hoping to sow some seeds next week as I have lots of plans for vegetables etc.

Ian's jigsaw

While I am busy scrapping and playing on the computer, Ian has been doing the jigsaws he got for Christmas. This one was from Jenny and Ed.

Must get organised!!

I've gone over a week again without posting, I don't know why. I must try and post more regularly.

I did this layout today for the scrap like you mean it challenge, this week we had to use old photos. These ones of my handsome boys with their little nephew will do! I used an old sarah's cards kit and scraplifted a layout by Little Miss Gem.

Having not seen the children for a while we have had them round three times this week. That meant lots of craft, some football, of course, and the kitchen floor being used as an ice rink!

I also got to watch My parents are Aliens aren't I lucky!!

Another one!!

Here is my third cybercrop class using a cute photo of Beca!

Yesterday started off horribly with Andrew coming home early as his car had been broken into. His ipod, clothes, shoes etc had all been stolen and he now has to get the lock fixed. I'm beginning to dread him going back to visit his friends!

Today I have cleaned the house and then played on the computer, I wanted a rest after all that scrapping.

Cybercrop!

It is cybercrop time over on UKS and I've managed to do two of the classes despite being ill. I woke up today feeling sick and dizzy so I've been taking things slowly, I couldn't miss out though!!

I'm now going to snuggle up in bed for a while with my book!!

My handsome grandson!

I did this layout of Jamie for the week 5 challenge, you had to scrap in black and white, I did the photo. I used daily grind pp from a sarah's cards kit. I was inspired by a layout by Rachael Elliot which was in the latest Scrapbook magazine. Rachael lives in Portland which is a place dear to my heart.
Ian and I went shopping this morning, we went to Sainsburys and then on to the farm shop and then the butchers. I watched a horrible programme last week about Tescos and their policy on chickens, I will never buy my meat from them again.
After we packed all the food away we decided to set ourselves a challenge, we are going to shop a day later each week to save money. We have so much in I'm sure I can make the food last longer.

Sweeter each day!!

I've just done this from a class kit by Lianne Mawer on Sarah's Cards. The picture is of the very sweet Rebecca, I'm sure Jenny and Ed will agree with the sentiments!
What little snow we had as all gone and it is a sunny but cold day here. I'm trying to tell myself to go out for a walk but might just snuggle down with my book again.
Shepherd's pie and apple crumble planned for tea and I really must plan next weeks menus and do a shopping list. I'll probably end up doing it just before we go shopping tomorrow!

Where is the snow?

Are we the only part of the country with hardly any snow? It is so disappointing as I was looking forward to taking snowy pictures but instead had to take this one!!! Oh well, perhaps tonight will bring us some.

I've been a bit lazy today, after doing the housework this morning and chatting on the phone. I've watched tv and played on the computer with Peter who is snowed in, lucky boy!

I've finished Cat and mouse by James Patterson which was very good but a bit gory, the killer liked to perform live autopsies on his victims! I'm now reading The Lord's Day by Michael Dobbs.
Have just sent Risk back to Jenny who wants to play it with the children and now have a great desire to play it myself, it had been gathering dust in the cupboard for years!!

Ian played a roll-up at bowls today and won so he is in a good mood, he's hoping to play in a match soon.

I'm now going to curl up with my book before making tea, bubble and squeak with sausages, not good for the diet I'm afraid!
