A lovely day!

Just completed my December pages for scrap your day, Ian moaned because there were no photos of him but he always makes a fuss if I point the camera at him!! I also couldn't find any of Zen which was a shame as she always takes a nice photo, still I did the best I could.

It has been a lovely day here today, so nice that Ian and I went for a walk by the sea and were able to sit outside and have a coffee, I love winter days like that.

When we got home our tree and shrub had been delivered, they look lovely, we now have to prepare the ground to plant them and hopefully that will make that part of the garden a bit nicer.

It's the 25th already and so time to take some more photos.

The weather is miserable outside so it's definitely an indoors, chilling, sort of day.

Time to do my daily sudoku, play on Lord of the rings, watch West Wing and try, unsucessfully, to take photos of the trees blowing in the wind.

I've managed to finish a layout for week 4 of scrap like you mean it and I've tidied up my stash a little bit. If I'm very good I might get my pages for 25th Dec done!

Glory Years!!

I managed to do this layout with my new Sarah's Cards kit, I'm determined to start using them as I have a few untouched kits in my cupboard. The papers this month were daisy Bucket In the meadows and they are gorgeous. I've used the more masculine ones for this photo of Andrew during his glory years. He always says he peaked at 7yrs and it was downhill from then on! I know we all loved watching him play, he had silky skills. He would get rid of all his trophies but I won't let him!

Jamie is coming round for the night as Spurs are playing again, poor old Burnley they don't stand a chance.

I managed to do this layout for the week 3 challenge, we had to use chipboard. The photos were from our Portland holiday, it was nice when we could get away on our own for a bit.

Ian and I have been busy ordering a tree and shrub to hopefully fill in the gaps where our neighbours have cut down their trees, and give us some privacy. I cannot understand why some people like to clear everything, the poor birds etc now have nowhere to go. We have bought a hawthorne which is meant to be very good for wildlife, in the meantime there will be no nude sunbathing for me!!!!

Started the day well with a bowl of porridge and blueberries for breakfast, have decided to eat healthily!! I read on the news that there are 12 main foods that boost your immune system and keep your brain healthy, they are oats, bran, carrots, tomatoes, yoghurt, oranges, bananas, berries, spinach, and I need to eat some more of the stuff as I can't remember the rest!!

I finished this LO today for shimelle's wk 2 challenge, I love the photo of Becca.

We finished Damages today which was very good and I'm now considering watching 24 that's if the adverts don't put me off!

What a mess!

Have been trying to get some scrapping done but my heart isn't in it must be thought of the dentist tomorrow!!

Did have a nice lazy morning reading my book, Perfect Match by Jodi Picoult, have never read any of her books before and I'm finding it quite gripping.

Jamie is round watching the footie but Spurs have just lost.

Looking forward to the ice dancing tonight.

It was another very cold day today, minus 6.5 first thing. Ian and I went to the shops hoping to get a duvet set in the sales but there was really nothing around so we saved our money!

I did a bit of baking, some flapjacks and lemon drizzle cake and we watched damages, only 4 more episodes to go.

Not much more to report really.

Have fallen a bit behind with shimelle's scrap your day class due to Christmas and not feeling well, so thought I'd better get on with it and do November's pages, That day was not a good one for me as I was not well and then had to go over to mum's suddenly so not many photos to scrap but that's life and it is a good idea to scrap the good with the bad!

The photo today is of the frozen water in the bird bath , it must get warmer soon!

The fire place is my photo of the day, it's been foggy and miserable here so I've been glad of the fire!!

I've also been sorting out my christmas photos ready for printing and found this one with the children placed in front of me of course!!

Played bowls today after a months break and was glad to be able to do the whole session.

Early start!

Had to get up early this morning to make sure Jamie got to school so we had the shopping all done by 9.30am and I was able to get on with some scrapping.

I did the weekly challenge set by the Buttonbabes over on UKS, we had to do a celebration, buttons and twelve of something, the photo is of Becca on her 2nd birthday.

Have also taken my photo for today, a little blackbird trying to get warm on a very cold morning!

A cold walk!

Ian and I went for a brisk walk along the beach this morning, it was very cold but we both needed the exercise. We then popped into Jenny's for a cup of tea and then on to the library.

I took some photos of the chickens at Jenny's, I'm enjoying the fresh eggs from them.

Jamie has come round for the night as Spurs are playing Burnley, I can't hear much cheering going on so I assume spurs are losing!

So cold!

It really has been a miserable day here today, we've had some snow and the wind is very cold. I thought it was the perfect time to make a hearty stew for tea using up all the last bits of veg etc. So here is my photo for today.

The schools are back and most people have gone back to work so we can all get back to normal.

I'm enjoying watching Damages and listening to new cd's we got for christmas, life is good!!

I've had a lazy day today, Ian made a curry so I have played on the computer and done some craft, lovely!!

The page I did was from a page kit by Sarah on Sarah's cards, I had great fun with it, the instructions were very clear, I love having something to follow!

My photo today is of the Disney boat Jenny and Ed got us as a thank you for taking them all to Disney, I love it!

Feeling Crafty!!

I packed all my stash away before getting mum for christmas and I've finally stopped being lazy and got it out again! There is a new challenge for the year over on UKS, you can find it here http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/showthread.php?t=249663 I have a lovely new album from Maureen and John so thought I would put my layouts for this challenge in it. My favourite colours are earthy ones so that was what I chose for this weeks challenge, the photos are of Alex enjoying the beach.

Jenny, Ed and the children popped round this morning so I was able to get a gappy smile from Alex for today's photo.

In the garden

I took a few photos of the garden today showing some of the flowers still out, my rambling rose and hebe seem to flower all year, I love them.

I've also taken a photo of the christmas recipe box I made, I just need to print out some recipes to go in it!

The decorations are all down and the tree taken outside, I've spent all morning cleaning and my house is now back to normal!!

These were taken at mum's as we took her home today. I'm hoping to take a photo of me at the end of the year looking much thinner!

Christmas went very well but I am extremely tired now and looking forward to doing some crafting and playing on my computer games, it has all been on hold for a while.
