Oh dear, can hardly believe I haven't blogged for a week, shame on me!
Scraping wise, I have completed my next cj entry, fairies and folklore, and that is all ready to be sent off to Sharon. I found this one quite hard as I am not a fairy person, but I enjoyed doing it when I at last made myself!
I was at mum's on Monday for a hospital appointment and will be doing the same on wednesday, I suppose I could "choose" not to go but then what would poor mum do, she is very worried about it as it is, but I am dreading it too. As Jenny has said, illness takes choice away.
I beat Ian at bowls this week, hurray!, and I know he is longing to get his own back, we might play again tomorrow after we have planted our beans and peas.
Ian made me a lovely trough which is fixed to the garage wall, I was very impressed, we have filled it with geraniums and busy lizzies. I have also planted pansies, mirabilia and more which were seeds I collected last summer.
I made a pineapple upsidedown cake and a lemon drizzle cake today and have done a couple more recipes from Delia's new book.
Jenny and I are trying to cost out some of our favourite recipes and are finding out which supermarket is cheapest for various ingredients. It's going to take a while, but should be interesting and hopefully save us money in the future.
We went for a walk down to the bandstand this afternoon and listened to Birchington steel band, last year we didn't go to any concerts so we have decided we must make ourselves do it this year. It was quite pleasant but a bit chilly.
We have the last Foyle's War to watch tonight, looking forward to that, I do wish they would change their minds about ending it.
