Face painting

Did this layout for the week 17 SLYMI challenge to use lace and layers. The photo was taken at Dover Castle when we took the children there last year, or the year before, can't remember now! The papers are from the latest sarah's cards kit and I scraplifted a layout by Angie on the scra paper scissors blog.

Lazy blogger!

Have been a bad blogger recently, have just had too many other things to do and worry about!
Today Ian and I have been very lazy and watched 3 episodes of Heroes, I'm loving this it is so weird! The weather has been so bad there was really not much else we could do and I didn't even get my cross stitch out. Ian has been doing a really difficult jigsaw, lots of the same colour, he's very patient that way, unlike me.

We met Peter in Canterbury on Friday and went round a really interesting Abbey, unfortunately I forgot my camera. He then came back for the weekend and left lunchtime today.

Still trying to diet, have lost 6lbs so far, need to lose a few more though!

Signing off now and getting ready to watch 24!

Three for a girl!

Have had a nice day today, the sun has been shining and Ian and I have been for a nice walk by the sea and also in the garden doing some tidying up. My peas and broadbeans are appearing already and I have tomatoes, peppers and courgettes starting to show in the greenhouse. I don't know where I am going to put everything but I will try. My herb garden is also doing well, just need to remember to pick some now!

I've also managed to do the weekly challenge over on UKS with my new kit which arrived this morning scraplifting a layout by Nat, one of sarah's cards design team. It was set by the Bijoux Belles and you had to use a heather colour, a line from a rhyme for the title and the same amount of embellies as the title. You were also meant to use tartan or checks on the LO but I didn't manage that, I got 25pts for our team though and enjoyed myself doing it!
We are setting the challlenge in a few weeks so need to start thinking about a LO for that soon.

Quick update

Mum has gone home after a nice break and I am enjoying a little bit of me time!
Today I managed the week 16 SLYMI challenge, to scrap in the morning. I used my latest sarah's cards kit and a lovely photo of Becca with the chooks.
Have been enjoying looking after the animals for Jenny although today one of the chickens was being nasty to another, chasing it around trying to peck it, there was not much I could do apart from putting food in for them, if I could I would have separated the bully. Jenny and co will be back tomorrow so hopefully they will sort things out.
I'm now going to make some cards with my new kit.

A silly pose!

Mum enjoying the sun, sea and a cuppa!
Did have a photo of mum, me, Jenny and Becca but I looked awful so it has to be deleted.
Off to Walmer Castle today, hope it stays dry.
