almost done

Rinda is hosting another link-up for the summertime photo scavenger hunt here on her blog, so do go over and look at some of the wonderful photos people have taken.

plane-2

We had a water festival last week and our little town was buzzing with people. We were lucky enough to see a fantastic air display by this pilot.

It was hard to capture with my little camera but I did my best

It’s been a very busy month so far but I didn’t forget the three birthdays in it. I made these cards using an online card class called Pattern Play to be found here for inspiration

The magic tree

It’s the first Sunday of the month and time once again for Sian's Storytelling Sunday.

When we moved into our new bungalow we had quite a big garden and that first summer hidden treasures were slowly revealed. One tree had a lovely shape but we were convinced it was dead as the branches were so brittle.

Imagine our delight as leaves appeared and then beautiful star like flowers

We didn’t know the name of the tree so it became our magic tree.

SDC10009

Christmas 2009 I looked out of the door to find this had happened, our beautiful tree had died.

I know it was only a tree but you can’t begin to imagine how upset I was, we loved seeing that tree come alive every summer.

All was not lost however as our magic tree had left a little sapling. We watched carefully over the next few years as it started to grow and now this summer we can proudly present

time to myself

SDC16967-002

when I have a little bit of time to myself I go on to Shimelle’s blog, find a sketch I like and scrap some memories.

Starting tomorrow she is holding an online scrapping weekend so hopefully I’ll have time to join in. I look forward to seeing what everyone does.
